Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly. I’ve been hooked in this…well, you could even call it ‘romantic…’ relationship with Yankee Candle ever since. Today, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the quite unusual Christmas scent, Cascading Snowberry.

Sparkling Snow is one of the Yankee Candle heavy hitters, and for me, it ranks pretty high on my power rankings. It’s one of the handful of fragrances that I’m burning at a specific time every single year. Sparkling Snow, Home for the Holidays, Midsummer’s Night, Autumn Leaves….it’s in that stratosphere despite my father nearly ruining it for me back in 2008 when he walked into the room and asked what smelled like dish soap.

Oddly enough, that’s a pretty accurate description of this candle. It is about as clean and fresh as they come, hanging in the air like the physical manifestation of the renewal that a new year brings with it. And, that gets me to what you might consider a hot take on Sparkling Snow….I don’t think it’s actually a Christmas candle. No, it’s the open air of winter woods. It doesn’t have the spice that the Christmas fragrances typically have, and that makes it a perfect bridge for those winter months when the holidays have passed, but it’s way too early to start burning the floral fragrances of spring. I’d challenge you to make this your January candle and report back to me on how that experience was.

Recommended Burning: Snow is falling gently upon the back yard. You’ve had a restful day of reading leather bound books, and have slow-cooked a hearty stew. Night is approaching, and the twilight of the day is arousing all the right parts of your body. Light Sparkling Snow and enjoy touching yourself as long as you’ve remembered to close the blinds.
