Tom Hanks is back in the public eye after the release of A Man Called Otto, released a couple of weeks ago and still kicking around in theaters. The resident film critic of SoBros Network, Brandon Vick, and I got together recently to record an episode of The Vick’s Flicks Podcast on which Brandon provides his review of the film and Hanks’ performance in it. While Hanks is absolutely in rarefied air among the acting profession, it did spark a larger conversation about how we’d like to see him take a few more chances before he rides off into the sunset.

Then, we take the opportunity to dive into Hanks’ extensive filmography, a career that spans over the course of five decades – from the 1980s to 2023. We offer our thoughts on some of his most famous roles, his awards success, and as is the custom on The Vick’s Flicks Podcast, we’ll even hit you with our Tom Hanks Mount Rushmore.

So, if you missed the live stream, and haven’t had the chance to catch up on the podcast form of this show, you can check out the full episode of The Vick’s Flicks Podcast below! Subscribe on Apple Podcasts. Follow on Spotify, and wherever you take in your shows!
